Jason Romano

Jason joined North Suffolk as Chief Human Resources Officer in 2014, and also serves as the organization’s safety officer. With more than 25 years of experience, he oversees all major HR functions including employee relations, policy, wage and salary administration, benefits, recruitment and retention, safety and workers’ compensation, labor relations, and training.

Prior to joining NSCS, Jason worked for a nonprofit community services agency in Maine and Massachusetts from 1995-2014. He started his career in behavioral health working as a mental health counselor in group homes before transitioning to human resources.

Jason was born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. Away from the office, Jason is an active volunteer with local youth sports programs, coaching and mentoring children in the community.
