Residential Services: Meridian House, Hanton House
NSMHA offers two residential recovery support programs. Meridian House, an institution in East Boston, is a residential group home designed to help residents gain the skills they need to maintain their sobriety and live successfully within the community. Hanton House, our newest program in Chelsea, is for persons with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You must be accepted into these programs.
MINDeaze is a school-based, community-centered program that offers services and supports to youth between the ages of 8-13 and their families. The program aims to reduce substance use, delinquency and promote academic achievement. Referrals are only through the Winthrop or Chelsea school systems.
Recovery Support Services are social vehicles for recovery. These non-clinical services often operate to initiate or support recovery in conjunction with the work of formal treatment or other existing mutual aid groups.
