Relief Worker for Substance Abuse Residential Setting
As a relief worker, you would be responsible for the health, safety and quality of life of individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders living in a residential setting through advocacy and teaching under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, or designated supervisor on an as needed basis.
•Ensure the health and safety of the individuals at all times through a conscientious awareness of their activities and assistance as needed.
•Assist in implementing and teaching ISP/PSTP goals and objectives, as well as agency requirements through the implementation of all protocols and communication systems.
•Ensure proper administration and documentation of all medication.
•Participate in housekeeping and maintenance of the house and vehicle.
•Conduct self in a professional manner in all interactions with residents and co-workers.
Experience: Six months experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
Skills: Must have the ability to become medication, SFA and CPR certified after training provided. Driver’s license is necessary.
Education: High school degree or GED required; Bachelor’s in related field preferred.
Hours: Per Diem
