Assistant Clinical Manager

As an Assistant Clinical Manager you will work with the Clinical Manager and other clinical staff to support individuals and staff in the Developmental Services Division. The Assistant Clinical Manager plays a major role in the ongoing overall training of the DS Residential department’s direct service and management staff. They also play a role in the development and implementation of Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavioral Supports techniques and protocols/strategies. The person contributes to the leadership of the department in developing and providing quality services based on person centered models. The Assistant Clinical Manager is responsible for writing, implementing, and training positive behavior support plans, developing data collection systems and analyzing the data to make decisions. The positive behavior support plans will be based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and will include pre-cursors, identified problem times, proactive strategies, and responses to target behaviors that are specific to each individual. The Assistant Clinical Manager must be able to work in a team environment to help adults improve social, work, and or daily living skills, while helping to reduce maladaptive behaviors. The Assistant Clinical Manager will help evaluate the effectiveness of positive behavior support plans and make any necessary changes to help individuals learn new skills and behaviors more effectively. The person will attend meetings in which they collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, doctors, direct support staff, house managers and others.
We are offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for this position.
Salary Range: $27 to $31 per hour
Expectations of the role:
- Develop trainings and train Developmental Services staff in a variety of topics at the training center including, but not limited to, Positive Interaction Strategies, Person Centered Planning, Sexuality, and Positive Behavior Supports.
- Be familiar with and complete all documentation related to positive behavior support plans as related to compliance requirements.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision on the implementation of behavior plans.
- Respond to crisis situations when applicable.
- Understand the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities, mental health diagnoses, as well as disorders such as autism and acquired brain injury.
- Work with individuals and staff to ensure that plans are working, revised or terminated.
- Attend Human Rights Committee Meetings and write and present restriction plans as applicable and as assigned.
- Support the agency Quality Management Department and Survey and Certification processes as applicable.
- Complete necessary ISP documents as needed and submit via HCSIS.
- Participate in the development of proposals and/or grants.
- Maintain a database on appropriate information, complete paperwork, and write reports as necessary.
- Communicate with team members both within and outside of the agency effectively and professionally.
- Other duties assigned by the Clinical Manager or the Director of Residential Services
What you’ll need:
Education/Licensure: High School Diploma required. BCBA preferred. In lieu of BCBA certification, must be (or be in the process of becoming) a psychologist, independent clinical social worker, masters or doctorate level speech pathologist, a physician, a masters or doctorate level teacher with a certification in special education or a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC).
Experience: Knowledge with function based behavioral assessment and treatment. Two years of related direct experience with individuals that have Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities required. Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports required.
Skills: Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle. Must be MAP certified and CPR/1st aide certified within the first three months of hire (training provided) Advanced Wellness certification (will be trained when hired).
