This position is a temporary Fee for Service and salary is negotiable. Schedule is also flexible based on the number of hours needed for each of the 2 supervisees.

The BCBA Supervisor position serves as the educational supervisor for the Clinical Manager and Clinical Assistant within the clinical team. These 2 staff have completed and are in the process of completing their Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. The BCBA Supervisor provides consultative and direct instructional behavioral services to the supervisees. The Supervisees, who make up the Clinical Team of NSMHA, are responsible for conducting assessments as needed, generating behavior support plans, graphing and analyzing behavior data and ensuring the effective implementation of all residential based treatment programs for all clients on their caseload. The role of the BCBA Supervisor is to ensure sufficient supervision of all BCBA candidates with whom they work as per BACB guidelines.

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise interdisciplinary team on all behavioral plans within context of Positive Behavioral Supports.
  • Supervise Clinical Coordinators/ Behavioral Specialist in DDS, ensuring that regular individual supervision takes place and ensuring that the quality of their work upholds the mission of North Suffolk’s commitment to quality for all persons served.
  • Develop and Oversee behavior plans; assess individuals, collect data, and write structured behavior plans in conjunction with other support team members.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision on the implementation of behavior plan.
  • Design and implement behavior strategies for individuals as an intervention ahead of the official formation of a behavior plan and act as a resource to staff through the provision of in-service trainings and as needed consultation.
  • Involve individuals and support staff in the development of behavior plans, train staff in their implementation and documentation.  Work with individuals and staff to ensure that plans are working, revised or terminated.

  • Participate in managers’, clinical and staff meetings to review health care needs and global health care planning with staff.

As a Residential Program Manager, you will be responsible for the clinical and administrative aspects of a residential program, as well as the overall health and safety of the persons residing there. The Program Manager will oversee a nine, ten or eleven bed group home. You will help people in the areas of daily living skills, transportation, skill-building, money management, medication administration, risk mitigation and other areas based on the person centered treatment plan. Services are provided based on Recovery tenets and are aimed to promote overall health and well-being of persons served.

Expectations of the Role:

  • Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and facilitate progressive discipline as needed for all staff in conjunction with the Residential Services Coordinator.
  • Arrange staff schedules to meet the health and safety requirements, as well as the individual needs of the people.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of Quality Indicators through the IAP process and Program Goals.
  • Participate in the assessment of person referrals, admissions and discharges.
  • Insure the program and person records are current, comprehensive and meet agency and funding source standards.
  • Liaison with families/guardians, DMH, and other outside service providers.
  • Supervises and participates in the housekeeping and maintenance of the house and vehicle.
  • Participates in the development of the program budget, and monitors the program expenses.
  • Supervises the management of person’s funds and possessions, within the guidelines of the IAP and agency.
  • Monitor medications in accordance with MAP regulations.
  • Teach NSMHA trainings to newly hired employees.

  • Education/Licensure: LPHA designation that is recognized under Massachusetts law is required. Following degrees meet the criteria:
    MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC and LMHC eligible degrees, LADC 1, RN, Licensed Occupational Therapist. MSW graduates welcome to apply under pathway program.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the provision of clinical or rehabilitative services to adults with chronic and persistent mental health issues and/or substance use disorders preferred.  Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
