NSMHA is looking for a Clinical Manager to join our Adult Outpatient team at our East Boston and Chelsea Clinics!  The Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall management of clinical and administrative matters for the Adult Outpatient team at the East Boston and Chelsea Clinics.  This is a 40 hour per week position with no weekend hours.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage a talented and diverse team of clinicians.
  • Oversee the provision of therapy services in our East Boston and Chelsea Clinics.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinicians.
  • Make recommendations for program development and improvement.
  • Receive individual supervision from the Director of Outpatient Services.
  • Hire and train new clinicians and clinical interns.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of social workers, counselors, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, and administrators to provide essential supports to a diverse, vibrant community.

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling/Psychology required.
  • Experience: At least three years’ experience providing high-quality direct care required.  Two years’ experience providing clinical supervision preferred.
  • Certifications/Skills: LICSW or LMHC required.  Must meet board requirements to supervise LICSW-track and/or LMHC-track clinicians/interns towards licensure.  Spanish or Vietnamese speaking/BIPOC/LGBTQ applicants strongly encouraged to apply!

Outpatient Clinicians provide a broad range of clinical services for our clients, such as: formulating independent diagnosis and treatment, evaluation and crisis intervention, participation in treatment team, clinical, and staff meetings, and other clinical duties.

North Suffolk’s counseling centers provide individual, group and family therapy as well as psychiatric and medication services. NSMHA is seeking an excellent BC/BE outpatient adult psychiatrist for a vibrant community mental health center. This position can be either full-time or part-time and offers a flexible schedule, no after-hours call, and a well-balanced work-load including direct patient care and case consultation. The psychiatrist may elect to work in one or more of our psychiatric services located in downtown Boston, East Boston and Chelsea where several SAMHSA funded grants are being implemented. In this capacity the psychiatrist is an active member of and leads a multidisciplinary collaborative team providing psychiatric and medical expertise and support. Responsibilities include initial outpatient psychiatric evaluation, ongoing psychiatric management and treatment planning, and integrated psychiatric treatment and medication management services. Teaching of Harvard Medical School psychiatry residents and psychiatric nurse practitioner students, as well as protected time for clinical supervision of licensed psychiatric nurse practitioners are available for those interested. NSMHA is looking for a full time Clinical Care Coordinator for our new Community Mental Health Clinic (CMHC) project in our Freedom Trail Clinic located in downtown Boston.  The CMHC Clinical Care Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administration of the CMHC grant and providing clinical and case management services to grant-enrolled clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide direct outpatient services, incorporating evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches
  • Screen individuals seeking outpatient or diversionary services
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for outpatient clients and families
  • Provide case management services to identified clients, including collateral coordination and connection with additional services
  • Provide crisis intervention and on-call coverage in the clinic as needed
  • Receive weekly individual supervision (towards licensure, if needed)
  • Be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team of social workers, counselors, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, recovery coaches, and administrators
