North Suffolk Mental Health is a private, non-profit 501(C) (3) corporation. We welcome your donations to support our programs and services and offer several ways for donors to contribute. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Cash Donations:
Gifts of checks support us and provide a charitable giving tax deduction to you. All donors receive written acknowledgement for tax purposes.

Memorial/Honorary Gifts:
A contribution in memory or in honor of someone is a wonderful way to recognize an important individual or life event. Gifts can be restricted to a particular program or given as a general donation to North Suffolk Mental Health. We will send written acknowledgements to you and the individual identified in your contribution.

Matching Gifts:
Numerous companies have matching gift programs through which an employer can match an individual’s charitable gift in varying amounts. Donors should obtain their employer’s matching gift forms and procedures when interested in making a matching gift.

Gifts of Securities:
Gifts of securities such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds, can be deducted at full market value on the date of transfer to North Suffolk Mental Health. Donors incur no capital gains tax on appreciated securities given for charitable purposes and can claim a charitable income tax deduction of up to 30 percent of annual adjusted gross income.

Corporate Gifts:
Corporations can make and deduct charitable gifts of up to 10 percent of taxable income per year.

In-Kind Donations:
North Suffolk Mental Health welcomes in-kind donations from individuals and corporations. Please contact us if you are interested.
