Handiworks Employment Supports: Handiwork Services provides work opportunities for individuals who have not always been successful in traditional work oriented settings. HWS offers opportunities for individuals to earn money and increase self-esteem by completing work for pay. Many of the individuals we support today are the same people who were not able to experience success in traditional workshops in the past. Today we offer community based work and volunteer placements to increase opportunities for varied, community based experiences. Our goal is to assist and support our workers and job seekers in gaining experiences in integrated settings. Individuals based at Handiwork perform office, mailing, shredding and light assembly services. Our broad customer base of business and industry in the Greater Boston area encompasses advertising, publishing, manufacturing, printing firms, non-profit agencies and research and educational institutions. Work is unconditionally guaranteed, production quality is high and turnaround is short. The program has developed a strong and profitable working relationship with the business community that provides a steady stream of work for individuals both on and off site.
