We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work directly with infants and toddlers in an Early Intervention setting.
The Early Intervention Social Worker coordinates and provides early intervention services and treatment to children and child/family clients using a team approach. The Early Intervention Social Worker works with children in home, program, or other community settings, which are identified as clients’ natural environments for individuals and groups. Facilitate and participate in the development and execution of IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan). Work as part of a team to meet the needs of infants, toddlers and their families through education, advocacy, support, and family resources.
Using a strength-based and family-centered approach, provide early intervention developmental therapies to children aged birth to three within the context of relationship with their families/caregivers. Join a multi-disciplinary professional team using developmental, expressive therapy and trauma informed intervention strategies in partnership with families. Clinical opportunity to also join our Infant Mental Health/Family Support team providing discrete services within early intervention, as well as with a small number of preschool children on an outpatient basis.
Reports to the Program Director, Assistant Program Director or the Clinical Manager. Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology or Social Work required. LCSW, LICSW, LMHC or LMHC eligible required. Either be or ability to become Early Intervention certified with DPH. Valid Massachusetts Driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle needed.
