Peer Specialist (BEST)
This position is designated for a person who is or has been a recipient of services for mental illness. Because of his/her life experience with mental illness and mental health services, the peer specialist provides expertise that professional training cannot replicate. Peer support specialists report to the Program Director or Assistant Program Director and are fully integrated team members who provide highly individualized services in the community and promote self-determination and decision-making. Peer Specialists also provide essential expertise and consultation to the entire team to promote a culture in which each person’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities. The Peer specialist will also act as a general resources specialist, assisting with the day to day operation of patient evaluation, referral, and placement. The peer support specialist may have a bachelor's degree in a field other than behavioral sciences or have a high school degree or GED, and has work experience with adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services needs

Overnight Crisis Clinician (BEST)
This position provides direct emergency psychiatric clinical services, coordination and consultation to other care providers. It also provides prescreening evaluations for information and referral services, respite care and specializing and various administrative tasks. This position is part of an emergency services team providing continuity of care to all emergency clients, families and allied services. This is an on-site position, with the expectation of mobile response, in addition. Weekends, Holiday and shift rotation will be required. Master's Degree in a relevant human service clinical specialty that is Medicaid reimbursable. Minimum one year in a psychiatric emergency service or similar setting required.

Senior Case Manager School Based
Reports to the Clinical Coordinator and works with the Case Manager to provide intensive case management to vulnerable 8-13 year old students and their families within a school based setting. Able to identify therapeutic tasks and draft individual change plan for each student and revise and amend as clinically necessary or recommended by Clinical Coordinator. Identify family needs through clinical assessment and refer to appropriate services and/or assist families and case manager in navigating social service programs. Identify, develop, facilitate or supervise the facilitation of engaging and age-appropriate activities for an after school setting which are trauma informed and developmentally applicable. Master’s Degree in a related field required.Training and experience working with young children, adolescents, and families. Previous experience with crisis intervention, trauma sensitive populations, family preservation work, and mediation.

Senior Behavioral Specialist (After School Program)
Provides milieu treatment including behavior management/modification and facilitation of therapeutic groups. Advocates for children and families through case management support services. Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred. A High School Diploma or GED completion is required. Bachelor and Associate Degree applicants must have three months experience working with school age children. High School Diploma or equivalent applicants must have six months experience working with school age children, including three months supervised experience at a school age child care program. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is required. Bilingual (Spanish & English) is highly preferred.

Behavior Monitor
The Behavior Management Monitor reports to the Director of Child & Family Services through the Director of Home-based Services. The Behavior Management Monitor implements behavior plans, monitors a youth’s behavior, reinforces implementation of the behavior plan by parents/guardians/caregivers and reports to the Behavior Management Therapist on implementation of the behavior plan and progress toward behavioral objectives or performance goals. A minimum of one year of direct ABA/Behavioral Therapy experience, under supervision of a BCBA, working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs. Access to consistently reliable transportation ability to work in community and home-based settings.

Behavior Therapist/Supervisor
The Behavior Management Therapist reports to the Director of Child & Family Services through the Director of Home-based Services. The Behavior Management Therapist completes behavioral assessments and behavior plans focused on addressing and reducing challenging behaviors that interfere with a youth’s successful functioning at home and in school. This position provides team leadership, clinical and administrative supervision of the Behavior Management Monitor (s). CBFS Peer Specialist Deaf Team
Is a member of the Recovery Support Team of the CBFS program that provides specialized services to the Deaf population. This position is designated for a person who is or has been a recipient of services for severe and persistent mental illness. Because of his/her life experience with mental illness and mental health services, the peer support specialist provides expertise that professional training cannot replicate. Peer support specialists report to the Recovery Team Leader and are fully integrated team members who provide highly individualized services in the community and promote self-determination and decision-making. Peer Support Specialists also provide essential expertise and consultation to the entire team to promote a culture in which each person’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected and integrated into treatment, rehabilitation, and community self-help activities. The peer support specialist may have a bachelor's degree in a field other than behavioral sciences or have a high school degree or GED, and has work experience with deaf adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses or with individuals with similar human-services needs. This individual should be current or former recipient of mental health services who is in recovery. May have related training (e.g., certified occupational therapy assistant, home health care aide) or work experience (e.g., teaching) and life experience. Completion of accredited Peer Facilitator training program preferred. Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a serious and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work in market jobs; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services. Within six months of hire date, must enroll in an accredited Certified Peer Recovery Specialist training program. This program must then be completed within 12 months of inception. CBFS Recovery Support Specialist
Is a member of the Recovery Support Team of the CBFS program. The Recovery Support Specialist reports to the Recovery Team Leader. The Recovery Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the coordination of rehabilitative services for CBFS people and integration/coordination of all rehabilitative services for their caseload. This position provides direct services to people under CBFS to include housing, support, transportation, promote self-determination and decision making, didactic teaching, advocacy, service coordination, outreach and assistance with community integration with a person centered treatment approach. Responsible for developing confidential rehabilitation files for all persons assigned. High School Diploma/GED equivalent required. Bachelors Degree highly preferred. At least two years experience with population who has severe and persistent mental illness in lieu of degree required. Must have a Driver’s license. Must be MAP certified, CPR/first aide certified within three months of hire.

CBFS Housing Specialist
IsHas a working knowledge of housing subsidies and various housing authorities/entities as it relates to finding housing for people with psychiatric disabilities. This paraprofessional position provides direct CBFS services including housing, support, transportation, didactic teaching, advocacy, service coordination, outreach, and community integration support and assistance. Responsible for participation in the development of person-centered Individualized Action Plans (IAP). Coordinates services between community service providers as indicated. Housing Specialist will provide overall training with regard to housing authorities and subsidy information to Recovery Team Staff and people in the CBFS system of care. High School Diploma/GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred. At least (2) two years experience with populations with severe and persistent mental illness in lieu of degree required. Experiences with housing authorities and housing subsidies. Outreach Worker – CSP Program
Provides a range of mobile, care coordination services to assist adults and their families to locate resources needed to live successfully in the community. Services may include advocacy, coordination of treatment, outreach, assistance with basic needs, skill building and facilitating linkages with other community based and natural support systems. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred. A valid driver’s license and functional vehicle required. Previous experience with population who has severe and persistent mental illness highly preferred. Must be capable of intervening during crisis situation. Good oral and written skills required.

Residential Counselor – Bayhouse
Reports to the Program Coordinator and/or Assistant Director of Deaf Supported Housing. Responsible for the health, safety and quality of life of individuals in a residential setting through advocacy, teaching, and service planning. High school degree or GED required; Bachelor’s in related field preferred. One (1) to Two (2) years human services experience with similar population preferred. Must be fluent in American Sign Language.

Program Coordinator (Chelsea and Haverhill Respite)
This member of the MH Residential Services program is responsible for the clinical and administrative aspects of an assigned residential program, as well as the overall health and safety of the persons residing there, under the supervision of the Residential Services Coordinator High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred. Medication, CPR/First-Aid certification or ability to receive certifications required. Four (4) years experience in human services and supervisory experience required. Must have Driver’s license.

Awake Overnight Counselor
Opportunity to be responsible for the safety and well being of consumers in a residential setting during overnight shifts. Responsibilities include providing assistance to consumers based on need level of consumers, being awake and available to consumers until they have left the program or until morning staff arrives, security checks, log notes, and any duties based on consumer need or schedule. Requirements include HS Diploma/GED, 1 year experience in Human Services, and certification (Medication, First Aid, and CPR) or the ability to achieve within three months of employment.
